- Small chili peppers: 2 Each
- Shrimp paste, roasted or fish sauce: 1 Teaspoons
- Tamarind: 3 Tablespoons
- Palm sugar syrup or sweet soy sauce: 4 Tablespoons
- Sea salt: 2 Pinches
Grind ingredients together with a mortar and pestle, starting with the chili and salt. It should be chunky.
Mix the rujak with apple, pineapple, cucumber, mango, Japanese pear or jicama.
