Yield: 1 batch
- Salt: 1/4 Teaspoons
- Baking soda in 1/4 cup hot water: 1 Teaspoons
- Brown sugar: 1 Cups
- Shortening: 1 Cups
- Oatmeal: 2 Cups
Mix shortening and sugar. Mix in baking soda and water.
Add and mix flour and salt.
Add and mix oatmeal. Chill for 1 hour (optional).
Make into small balls and flatten with floured surface. Bake at 375 F for 10-12 mins.
